Frequently asked

I can't join a party.

• Make sure both devices have an internet connection. CoilParty syncs over the network.
• Party codes are 6 letters, case-insensitive. Letters that look alike (I, O, 0, 1) are excluded from generated codes.
• If the host closed the lobby, the code stops working. Ask the host to create a new party.

The QR scanner isn't opening.

• iOS asks for camera permission the first time. If you denied it, enable it in Settings, then CoilParty, then Camera.
• You can always enter the 6-letter code manually instead of scanning.

The other player can't see the lobby update.

• Both devices need a live connection. If one device drops offline, its view will freeze until it reconnects.
• Background the app and reopen it to force a resync.

How is my data handled?

• Party state lives on Firebase only while the party is active and is removed after the celebration screen.
