Privacy Policy
CoilParty is a local party game made by Mohammadbagher Rostami ("we", "us"). This policy explains what limited data the app collects and how it is used. Plain language, no dark patterns.
No account, no personal profile
CoilParty does not ask you to sign up, sign in, or provide an email address, name, phone number, or photo. Players join a party by scanning a QR code or entering a short room code; no identity is attached.
What we collect
- Gameplay state (party rooms, scores, moves) is sent to Firebase Realtime Database so devices in the same party stay in sync. It is not tied to a personal identity and is deleted when the party ends.
- Anonymous usage analytics via Firebase Analytics: events like "party created", "party joined", "party ended", screen views, and crash diagnostics. This is used to understand which features are working, not to build a profile of you.
- A randomly generated device identifier (Firebase app instance ID) so analytics events from the same install can be grouped. It is not your advertising ID and is reset if you reinstall the app.
What we do NOT collect
- Name, email, password, phone number
- Location (precise or approximate)
- Contacts, calendar, files, photos
- Payment information (the app is free with no in-app purchases)
- Microphone or camera content. The camera permission is requested only to scan a join QR code on-device; the image is never uploaded or saved.
Sharing
We do not sell your data and do not share it with advertisers. The only third party that processes data on our behalf is Google (Firebase), strictly to provide hosting, realtime sync, analytics, and crash reporting.
Security
All data sent between the app and Firebase is encrypted in transit (HTTPS/TLS).
Children
CoilParty is suitable for ages 13+. We do not knowingly collect data from children under 13. If you believe a child has used the app and you would like the associated analytics data removed, contact us at the address below.
Data deletion
Because CoilParty has no accounts, there is nothing tied to you personally that persists. Uninstalling the app stops all analytics from your device. To request deletion of any residual anonymous analytics associated with your device install, email rostami@outlook.com with the subject "CoilParty data deletion" and we will purge the matching app-instance ID from Firebase Analytics within 30 days.
Changes
If this policy changes meaningfully, the "Last updated" date above will change and the new version will be live at this URL.
